After a successful career in industry, I moved to Amador County twelve years ago with my wife Kathy. We live off of upper Ridge Road between Sutter Creek and Pine Grove in the heart of District 4.

I was born in San Diego in 1960, but I grew up all over our Country because my father was in the Navy. I later called places like Northern California, Maryland, Michigan, and Texas home. After college, I returned to the Bay Area where I met my wife Kathy, and started my career in biotech.

For fifteen years, I had a successful career in the biotech industry in the Bay area and later in San Diego. I was a manager, researcher, product developer, and product marketer. I worked for companies like Johnson & Johnson and Clorox Company. After moving to Amador County I taught math and chemistry at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton for over seven years.

I own and operate two businesses in the Sutter Creek area with my wife Kathy. I have participated in the community by serving on the Amador Transportation Plan committee and as a volunteer docent at the Kennedy mine.

I enjoy the many outdoor opportunities available to Amador County residents like skiing, hiking, cycling, and fishing. I also like to brew my own beer.

I received my Bachelor's in Chemistry (1982) and a Doctorate in Applied Mathematics (1987) from the University of Texas at Arlington.
