I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Withrow to Deputy Chief for the Amador Fire Protection District. Chief Withrow is a 31-year veteran of the fire service, spending most of his career with CAL FIRE where he served as an Assistant Chief responsible for CAL FIRE Operations in Amador County and Southern Sacramento County. Chief Withrow holds several Incident Command qualifications and served as the CAL FIRE Incident Commander on the Sacramento Regional Incident Management Team. He is an instructor with Columbia College and enjoys teaching fire service classes here locally. Chief Withrow began his fire service career in 1991 as a Volunteer FF with Amador Fire and lives in Jackson with his wife of 31 years and their teenage daughter. He has served as a local 4-H project leader and assisted with several other community events. His community service background and fire service experience underscore his commitment to public service in Amador County and we are excited to welcome him to Amador Fire.
